Problem

Bacterial contamination in agricultural water can affect food safety and product shelf life. The client needed to reduce contamination while protecting harvested produce.

Solution

The Voigtländer system treats water at the main facility with Anolyte. All water supplied by the main facility is treated to create an optimal washing environment.

Results

  • Average shelf life extended by 3 days
  • 50% longer shelf life in this case
  • 15 m³ water treated daily
  • Reduced reliance on air freight by enabling road or rail options

Project scope

  • Treat agricultural water daily
  • Extend shelf life of produce
  • Reduce bacterial contamination
  • Improve logistics options

Scope of the results

What this project shows and what it cannot promise.

An installation, evaluated within its own operating context.

Shown here

  • Voigtländer water hygiene applied to produce washing.
  • Daily water treated: 15 m³
  • Shelf-life result: 3 days longer on average (+50%)

Not a general guarantee

  • Results and capacities cannot be transferred to another water composition or operating regime without assessment.
  • Design and expected performance for a new site depend on its own water analysis and process conditions.
